On April 21, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Intellectual Property Office jointly organized two events: a student scientific conference on intellectual property; and a competition for students on intellectual property. These activities were in implementation of the cooperation agreement in the field of intellectual property (IP) between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Intellectual Property Office, signed by the leaders of both sides on August 5, 2010, on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day 2012, and also to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Intellectual Property Office (July 29, 1982 - July 29, 2012).

At the invitation of the City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh led a delegation from the University, including Dr. Tran Thuy Anh (Deputy Head of the Department of External Relations and International Training Cooperation) and Dr. Bui Thanh Nam (Deputy Head of the Faculty of International Studies), to visit and discuss cooperation on April 16 and 17, 2012.

To celebrate the successful conclusion of the 7th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term 2012-2014, the Youth Union and Student Association of the university organized a festival of revolutionary song performance teams on the evening of April 20, 2012. With unique and impressive performances, the team from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication won first prize.

The International Scientific Seminar commemorating 10 years of cooperation and development between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute (Federal Republic of Germany): Achievements and Prospects took place on the morning of April 20th at the Horison Hotel.

To commemorate 10 years of cooperation and development between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Rosa Luxemburg Institute (Federal Republic of Germany), the Center for Policy Research and Analysis (CEPSTA) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as the official implementing unit for cooperation projects, organized commemorative activities from April 19th to April 20th, 2012.

The certificate awarding ceremony for the short-term Persian language course (Level A) for participants from September 2011 to March 2012 took place on April 19, 2012. Among the seven students who received certificates, six were from the Faculty of Oriental Studies and one was from the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam.

The Center for Journalism and Communication Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) is recruiting collaborators to handle enrollment for short-term skills training courses.

From March 27th to 31st, 2012, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, visited and worked with several scientific institutions and organizations in Taiwan: Fu Jen University (Taipei), the Institute of Social Sciences – National Taiwan University, the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, and National Kaohsiung University (Kaohsiung City).
