On the morning of September 24th, amidst the vibrant and emotional atmosphere of the Opening Day at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Clubs Day event, held on the campus of the Specialized School of Social Sciences and Humanities, provided over 2000 new students with the opportunity to get acquainted with the dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic environment of the Humanities students, a blend of tradition and modernity.

This was the statement of Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), at the scientific conference themed "Quang Ninh: Identifying and Promoting Cultural and Human Values, Creating Resources for Rapid and Sustainable Development," held on September 26, 2023, in Yen Tu, Quang Ninh.

In implementing the National Strategy on Attracting and Utilizing Talents until 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by Decision No. 899/QD-TTg dated July 31, 2023, of the Prime Minister; and based on Circular No. 05/2023/TT-BKHCN dated May 22, 2023, of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) detailing some contents on attracting, utilizing, and valuing individuals working in science and technology and operational needs, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) implements a policy to attract outstanding scientists with the following contents:

On the morning of September 21, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), in collaboration with the Institute for Quality Assurance in Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi), organized a training course to enhance the capacity for implementing university ranking at VNU-Hanoi.

On September 19th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting with representatives from the Australian Volunteers International Programme to discuss plans for future expert exchange and international publications.

From September 11th to 17th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led a delegation, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department; and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, to visit and work with numerous academies and universities in China, and also attended the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum 2023 held in Guangxi (China).

The Student Orientation Week of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-USSH, held from September 7th to 17th, 2023, brought many new and exciting emotions to 2,018 new students of the K68 cohort as they welcomed the new academic year at VNU-USSH.

On September 14, 2023, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector, along with Dr. Pham Hoang Hung, Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan, Head of the Linguistics Department, and Dr. Vu Minh Hai, lecturer in the Linguistics Department, visited Guangxi University (China) to discuss opportunities and plans for cooperation between the two universities.

On the afternoon of September 18, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized a seminar to announce the National Report on Vietnam on the theme "Labor Market in Vietnam" (No. 6/2023), in collaboration with the Hanns Seidel Foundation (Federal Republic of Germany).

Within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Training's working program in Northern Europe, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), discussed and agreed to support Vietnamese expatriates in Sweden in improving their Vietnamese language skills and preserving Vietnamese culture in the future.
