This thesis examines the traditional livelihoods as well as the changes in the current livelihoods of the Hmong people in Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province.

Analyzing the endogenous and exogenous factors affecting the livelihood transformation of the Hmong people in Ban Lau commune.

To clarify the impacts of livelihood changes on the economic, cultural, and social lives of the Hmong people in this area.

11. Practical applications:

This study contributes new data on livelihoods, livelihood transformation, and factors influencing that transformation among the Hmong people in Ban Lau commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province. Simultaneously, it provides a scientific basis to help managers and policymakers develop effective solutions for stabilizing sustainable livelihoods for the Hmong people in Ban Lau commune.

12. Future research directions:

Research into other issues such as the transformation of the material and spiritual culture of the Hmong people today, or to delve deeper into the issue of sustainable livelihood development for the Hmong people.
