10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis has surveyed the folk legends of Bac Giang province to conclude that the folk legends of Bac Giang are a part of the treasure trove of Vietnamese folk legends, contributing to shaping and defining the genre within the flow of Vietnamese folk culture.
The legends of Bac Giang province exhibit distinctive genre characteristics. The large number of legends about heroes fighting against foreign invaders and peasant heroes reflects the glorious history of the nation in general and of Bac Giang in particular.
On the other hand, the thesis also explores the distinctive manifestations of Bac Giang folk legends under the influence of regional cultural characteristics and through folk festivals.
11. Practical applications:
Applications include teaching folklore in junior and senior high schools, and research on folklore in Bac Giang province.
12. Future research directions:
Our further research will focus on topical and practical themes or typical character archetypes in Bac Giang folk tales, or more broadly, within a specific cultural region.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The thesis surveys the folk legends of Bac Giang to include that the folk legend of Bac Giang is a part of folk legend treasure of Vietnam, contributing into forming and quantifying this category in the flow of Vietnamese folk culture.
Bac Giang's legends show excellently characters of this category. Legends on heroes against aggressors and farmers heroes occupy a significant quantity. They reflect the magnanimous history of the nation in general and history of Bac Giang in particular.
On the other hand, the thesis learns about special characters of Bac Giang's legends under control of characters of local culture and folk festivals.

It is applied in teaching the subject of folk literature in secondary schools, high schools and in researching the folk literature of Bac Giang.

Our further research directions will focus on new and practical topics or typical characters in Bac Giang's folk stories or broadening in a cultural area.
