With the process of surveying and researching on the topic of War and people in Van Le's two novels:Cold Summer and Phoenix, the thesis has obtained some of the following results:

- The thesis researched and evaluated the renovation process of Vietnamese literature anh VanLe's novels including the topic of wars in Vietnamese novels after 1975; whereby it's possible to ascertain that the renovated literature has changed in viewpoints on reality, recognized the diversity of reality, changed in concepts about human, and recognized the complexity in human life as well as its relations.

- In content, essays elucidate the humanitarian values ​​of the content of the novel, seeing the power of love in war; attachment of soldiers to the village, with spiritual culture; to contemplate, to reflect on the human condition of the author Van Le's.
