INFORMATION ABOUT THE MASTER'S THESIS
IT equipment includes machines, tools, and spare parts used in IT applications; specifically, computers, computer software, computer connection devices, and transmission equipment. IT equipment is used in teaching and scientific research activities such as lesson planning, lecture preparation, lecture presentations, research projects, and final exams. Evaluating the effectiveness of IT equipment use in research and teaching at universities involves comparing the results achieved with the initial plans and objectives. The evaluation of the effectiveness of IT equipment use in research and teaching primarily focuses on teaching, scientific research, social, and economic perspectives.
At the University of Natural Sciences, IT equipment has been used in research and teaching activities for many years. The university has also issued regulations on the management and use of IT equipment in teaching and research activities with the aim of improving efficiency. Research results show that there are still many shortcomings in the management and effective exploitation of IT equipment. Regulations on the use and management of IT equipment are not yet specific, consistent, or clear, thus creating certain difficulties in managing and exploiting IT equipment for teaching and scientific research.
This thesis proposes several recommendations to improve the efficiency of using IT equipment in teaching and scientific research activities from now until 2020, focusing on perfecting regulations for managing and using IT equipment; training and developing IT equipment management personnel; and evaluating the annual efficiency of using equipment in category B.
