The thesis systematizes the theoretical basis related to professional ethics of journalists in general and professional ethics of television journalists in particular. It presents issues such as: concepts, roles, professional characteristics, and requirements for professional ethics of television journalists.

The thesis examines the current status of professional ethics of television journalists through the team of journalists at Ho Chi Minh City Television. Evaluates positive and negative manifestations of professional ethics of television journalists. From there, draw out the causes and lessons learned.

Through the survey, the thesis proposes a number of solutions to improve the professional ethics of television journalists.
