The research aims to contribute to understanding the current state of views on business ethics.This study in Hanoi on ethical values ​​in business serves as an initial research step into the relationship between religious factors and ethical behavior in business.

The general Buddhist perspective holds that we have a duty to continuously improve and perfect our character through self-reflection and the practice of ethical conduct. Buddhists, in turn, concretize their strong religious beliefs into their worldview and philosophy of life, including their views on ethical values ​​in business. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, and employing carefully designed sets of indicators, this study provides reliable results reflecting the current state of Buddhists' views on specific ethical behaviors in business.

This topic is given during a time when business ethics has been a hot-debated issue. In addition to the aim of understanding Hanoi Buddhists' perspective on business ethical values, the research is also on the way of finding out the relation between religion and business ethical behaviors.

Buddhism is a tradition that strives for personal improvement through developing self-discipline and following strict moral codes. Buddhists, then, turn their religiosity into the access to their life and personal perspectives. By using qualitative and quantitative research methods, and having good sociology's toolbox, our research also brings truthful report which reflects Buddhists' outlook on ethical controversial situations in business.
