Promotion opportunities and job stability are also important reasons why many workers change their workplaces. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Vietnam is stepping up the process of innovation and economic restructure. In this context, human resources of businesses play important roles. The raising question is that how does the labor mobility occur between businesses? The thesis partly answers this question. The research shows that labor change from firms to others becomes more and more popular. In recent 5 years, up to three-quarters of the 228 investigators surveyed have changed their workplaces. The thesis also finds that the main reasons leading to the decision changing workplaces of the labor are higher salary, promotion opportunities, stability, etc. Salary seems to be the most important factor as the data shows that three-quarters of workers have moved jobs for higher salaries. The thesis indicates that workers use their social capital, the internet and the mass media to find jobs and change workplaces. There are few workers satisfied to some extension of their current jobs. However, there are still many people who are not satisfied and can keep changing their workplaces. On the basis of the above analysis, this research teases out the policy implications for enterprises to use their human resources more fruitful.
