Summary of the results of the thesis: VTV6 was born with the mission of being a television channel dedicated to teenagers, a meeting place for young people, reflecting the lives, thoughts, aspirations and needs of teenagers. The goal of the channel is to guide the development of personality, capacity and behavior of teenagers with a new and youthful style of program implementation. Through in-depth interviews and surveys of more than 700 young audiences, we focused on researching the current situation and attitudes of teenagers about VTV6 channel and factors affecting the audience about the programs in order to be able to perfect the existing programs and orient new programs suitable for the right audience of teenagers. In general, teenagers have said correctly about some characteristics of television channels for teenagers, however, the number of people who have correct and complete awareness is still limited. Specifically, most of the subjects (69.5% of subjects from 18-25) think that VTV6 is just an entertainment channel for young people and has not promoted aspects such as young people's views on social issues and career orientation. However, most of the content and form of the programs are evaluated quite positively and are consistent with the general trend of young people (87.5% of subjects are satisfied with the program channel). The viewing level is still limited, 56% of the subjects watch the programs from little to very little. The subjects who regularly watch VTV6 are subjects from the suburbs and countryside (63.3%) while the subjects from the city and neighboring areas account for about (16.6%). The preferred time frame is still from (10am-2pm), (6pm-8pm) and (8pm-12am) accounting for 86.4%. There are 3 main factors affecting the attitude of teenagers towards programs on VTV 6 channel: Characteristics of the public/viewers, the role of the media system and the perspective of the Youth Department (VTV6). This is also the most important and fundamental reason why VTV6 channel receives positive attitudes from the audience. Based on the analysis results, the topic also makes recommendations to help VTV6 channel's programs always satisfy and receive more love from the audience: It is necessary to promote production and increase the broadcasting time of programs about good people and good deeds. Produce more career guidance programs for students, political news programs. Produce more and increase reality TV programs to create excitement for viewers. The program's editorial board should change the format as well as innovate the content of some programs that do not create much sympathy from the audience.

It's a channel for teenagers to gather and share different life aspects, desires and wishes. The channel objectives are to provide guidance for teenagers to develop their righteous behavior, capacities and personalities with very trendy programs. I would like focus on current situation of teenagers to VTV6 factors that directly affect the target about programs via peer interview and survey modes of 700 young audience. Therefore I can analyze and come up with solutions to strengthen current programs as well as brainstorm for new programs that are suitable to the current adolescence. In general, teenagers have very positive attitudes about the channel however the critical and deep understanding about the channel remains very limited. In particular, to targets ranging from 18 to 25 (occupies for 69.5%) consider VTV 6 as a general entertaining channel for teenagers and the channel has not exploited the potential topics related to social issues and career guidance. most However of program contents and modes are highly evaluated and suitable for the current adolescent trends (87.5% are satisfied with current program contents). The frequency to watch is still limited (56% of the target rarely watch or hardly watch the channel). The main targets are originally from suburban area (63.3%) meanwhile the targets from urban area only occupies 16.6%. The favorite time frame is (10.00 – 14.00), (18.00 – 20.00) and (20.00 to 24.00) occupies for 86.4%. There are 3 main factors that affect adolescent attitudes toward VTV6 programs: characteristics of the audience, roles of media and vision of broad of directors of VTV 6 and this is also the critical reason that makes VTV 6 to receive positive attitudes. Based on analysis, I also provide solutions in order to improve VTV6 programs so that the audience can feel more satisfied and are in favor of VTV6 in long term: - Focus on program production and duration of program for good exemplification, good work program. Focus on producing more programs related to social issues and career guidance. - Focus on producing on reality show in order to create excitement for audience - VTV6 team also needs to change some current program formats as well as the content of programs that don't receive positive attitudes from the audience
