Summary of thesis results: VTV6 was created with the mission of being a television channel specifically for teenagers, a meeting space for young people, reflecting the thoughts, aspirations, and needs of teenagers. The channel's goal is to guide the development of personality, abilities, and behavior of teenagers with a novel and youthful program style. Through in-depth interviews and surveys of more than 700 young viewers, we focused on researching the current situation and attitudes of teenagers towards VTV6 and the factors influencing their views on the programs in order to improve existing programs and orient new programs to suit the target audience of teenagers. In general, teenagers have correctly described some characteristics of television channels for young people; however, the number of people with a correct and complete understanding is still limited. Specifically, most respondents (69.5% of those aged 18-25) believe that VTV6 is merely an entertainment channel for young people and does not adequately address aspects such as young people's perspectives on social issues and career guidance. However, most of the content and format of the programs are rated quite positively and are in line with the general trends of young people (87.5% of respondents are satisfied with the channel's programs). Viewing levels remain limited, with 56% of respondents watching programs infrequently or very infrequently. Those who frequently watch VTV6 are primarily from suburban and rural areas (63.3%), while those from cities and surrounding areas account for approximately (16.6%). The preferred viewing times remain (10:00-14:00), (18:00-20:00), and (20:00-24:00), accounting for 86.4%. Three main factors influence teenagers' attitudes toward programs on VTV6: the characteristics of the audience/viewers, the role of the media system, and the perspective of the Youth Department (VTV6). These are also the most important and fundamental reasons why VTV6 receives positive feedback from viewers. Based on the analysis results, the study also offers recommendations to help VTV6 programs continue to satisfy and gain the affection of viewers: Increase the production and broadcast time of programs highlighting good deeds and exemplary individuals. Produce more career guidance programs for students, and current affairs and political commentary programs. Produce and enhance reality television programs to create more viewer interest. The program editorial board should change the format and innovate the content of some programs that have received less positive feedback from viewers.

It's a channel for adolescents to gather and share different life aspects, desires and wishes. The channel objectives are to provide guidance for teenagers to develop their righteous behavior, capacities and personalities with very trendy programs. I would like focus on current situation of teenagers to VTV6 factors that directly affect the target about programs via peer interview and survey modes of 700 young audience. Therefore I can analyze and come up with solutions to strengthen current programs as well as brainstorm for new programs that are suitable to the current adolescence. In general, teenagers have very positive attitudes about the channel however the critical and deep understanding about the channel remains very limited. In particular, to targets ranging from 18 to 25 (occupies for 69.5%) consider VTV 6 as a general entertaining channel for teenagers and the channel has not exploited the potential topics related to social issues and career guidance. most However of program contents and modes are highly evaluated and suitable for the current adolescent trends (87.5% are satisfied with current program contents). The frequency to watch is still limited (56% of the target rarely watch or hardly watch the channel). The main targets are originally from suburban area (63.3%) meanwhile the targets from urban area only occupies 16.6%. The favorite time frame is (10.00 – 14.00), (18.00 – 20.00) and (20.00 to 24.00) occupies for 86.4%. There are 3 main factors that affect adolescent attitudes toward VTV6 programs: characteristics of the audience, roles of media and vision of broad of directors of VTV 6 and this is also the critical reason that makes VTV 6 to receive positive attitudes. Based on analysis, I also provide solutions in order to improve VTV6 programs so that the audience can feel more satisfied and are in favor of VTV6 in long term: - Focus on program production and duration of program for good exemplification, good work program. Focus on producing more programs related to social issues and career guidance. - Focus on producing on reality show in order to create excitement for audience - VTV6 team also needs to change some current program formats as well as the content of programs that don't receive positive attitudes from the audience
