Summary of thesis results: The thesis “Research on some issues of language rehabilitation for children with intellectual disabilities” surveyed the actual language abilities of 3 children with intellectual disabilities (5-6 years old) in Hanoi, specifically their ability to understand and express language. Through our survey, we found that the comprehension and language expression abilities of children with intellectual disabilities are significantly lower than their actual age. There is a dialectical relationship between comprehension and language expression; if a child's comprehension is good, their language expression is also good, and vice versa. Based on the reality of language abilities in children with intellectual disabilities, we propose several therapies to improve their language skills. Specifically, these therapies help children "expand their vocabulary" and "speak more." 12. Practical applications: The research results can serve as reference material for researchers studying children with intellectual disabilities in general, and in particular, it can be applied to language therapy for children with intellectual disabilities. 13. Future research directions: - Continue to investigate the language abilities of children with intellectual disabilities at other ages. - To provide language therapy methods for children with intellectual disabilities at different levels and ages. 14. Published works related to the thesis: Institute-level research project (2012): Language ability of children with intellectual disabilities (5-6 years old) in Hanoi.
