Summary of the results of the thesis: The unity between theory and practice in the process of building social theory is a fundamental principle in theoretical and political activities. Because only by correctly reflecting the objective reality of society can we build the requirements and tasks set out in the future and grasp the trend of social history. That is the basis for planning and building social theory. In the process of building social theory, analyzing, generalizing and evaluating objective reality is an important step, contributing to summarizing contemporary practice, laying the foundation for developing analytical theory later. Ensuring the unity between theory and practice in the activity of building social theory will ensure the correctness of theory, the updating of doctrine and be able to have accurate predictions about future trends. Those are the basic requirements of the principle of unity between theory and practice in the process of building social theory. Throughout the development of socialist theory, Marx and Engels always unified the principle of combining theory building and closely following contemporary social practice. The fact that they promoted this principle in the process of building their theory is the basis for successfully building a future socialist model - in which all the limitations of capitalist society are overcome, paving the way for people to develop comprehensively both physically and mentally. Socialist theory is also the path to communism - an advanced social model, without a state, without classes, without oppression and exploitation. We, Vietnam, have studied and applied Marxism-Leninism in the process of building and developing the country since gaining independence until now. We always promote the principle of unity between theory and practice in the activities of protecting and building the country. It can be said that loyalty to this principle has contributed to bringing our country from a backward agricultural country to a basically industrialized and modernized country, completing the comprehensive renovation of the country. The unity between theory and practice is clearly demonstrated through each policy of the Party and the State, meeting the requirements of the times and the needs of national development as well as the requirements of international integration. That further promotes the theoretical work of the Party and the State to study the changes of the times and determine the needs of society in the future to gradually reform policies and administrative procedures to better suit practical needs. That has brought initial success to our country on the path to socialism. Although in the process of building the country we cannot avoid limitations and difficulties, they are only relative setbacks. It is from these difficulties that we have quickly overcome and moved forward to build the country stronger and stronger. 11. Theory of socialism is also the way to communism – model of advanced society, without class and serf. In Vietnam, the study and application of Marxism - Leninism in the process of construction and development of the country has always been important since we were independent. We always uphold the principle of unity between theory and practice in activities of protecting and building our country. It can be said that the faithful to this principle have contributed to our country from a backward agricultural country gradually becoming a model industrialized countries, completing a comprehensive reform of the country. The agreement between theory and practice is evident through each policy and the policies of the Party and the State, meeting requirements of national development in compliance with requirements of international integration in fact. That makes promote theoretical work of the party and the state to gradually reform the policies and administrative procedures for more suitable to actual needs. It was a successful first step for our country on the way to socialism. Although in the process of building our country, we couldn't avoid limitations and difficulties, it is only a temporary setback. It is these difficulties that we have overcome and go on to build more powerful country. 12.
