Summary of the results of the thesis: The thesis studies and analyzes the level of people's satisfaction with the compensation and site clearance work of the Trung Son Hydropower Project's access road, specifically in the project's activities such as: consultation, information dissemination; asset inventory; compensation and support policies; compensation payments; and handling complaints and grievances. The thesis also analyzes the factors affecting people's satisfaction with the compensation and site clearance work. Through the research, the thesis has obtained the following results: Firstly, the majority of surveyed households have a good assessment of the project's compensation and site clearance work. Information consultation and dissemination activities are quite popular and attract the participation of people. Asset inventory, compensation payments and complaint and grievance settlement are carried out in accordance with procedures and progress. Compensation and support policies are built on the basis of compliance with World Bank policies and Vietnamese laws. The level of satisfaction of households with these activities is mainly concentrated at two levels: "normal" and "satisfied". The issue that households are most concerned about, and also show the least satisfaction, is that the compensation unit price is not close to the market price due to "increased price fluctuations and currency devaluation". Second, there is a difference in the level of satisfaction with compensation and site clearance between the two groups of severely affected and lightly affected subjects. Lightly affected households show a higher level of satisfaction than heavily affected households. Third, the implementation of project activities affects the level of satisfaction of the people. Fourthly, the thesis also made some recommendations for stakeholders: policy makers, Trung Son Hydropower Project Management Board, and affected local authorities. 11. Practical applicability: The study provides specific data to clarify the level of people's satisfaction with compensation and site clearance for the road component of the Trung Son Hydropower Project. The research results contribute to helping the Project Management Board and local authorities have a more comprehensive and accurate view of the thoughts and aspirations of people affected by the project in the research area. Thereby, stakeholders can have more effective intervention solutions to improve the level of satisfaction of affected people with subsequent projects.

Summary of the findings of the thesis: This thesis has analyzed the level of people's satisfaction with the compensation and site clearance of the access road - Trung Son hydropower project, specifically in the activities of the project such as: consultation and dissemination of information; asset inventory; policy of compensation, support; payment of compensation; and solution to complaints and grievances. This thesis has also analyzed factors affecting the level of people's satisfaction. Through research, the thesis has obtained some results as follows: Firstly, the majority of the household surveyed has good review on the implementation of compensation and site clearance of the project. Consultation and dissemination activities were quite regular and attracted the participation of the people. The inventory of assets, payment of compensation, and solution of complaints, grievances complied with the procedures and schedule. Policy of compensation, support was built on the basis of the legal framework and policies of the Government of Vietnam and Worldbank policies. Satisfaction of the households for these activities has mainly concentrated in two levels: “normal” and “satisfaction”. Secondly, there are differences in the level of satisfaction with the compensation, site clearance activities between the two groups: seriously affected household and slightly affected household. Slightly affected households express more satisfaction than seriously affected households. Thirdly, the level of people's satisfaction has been affected by project implementation. Fourthly, the subject has come up with some recommendations for stakeholders: policy makers, the Trung Son Hydropower Project Management Board, affected local authorities. 12. Practical Application: The study provides specific data to clarify the level of people's satisfaction with the compensation, site clearance of the Trung Son hydropower project. These findings contribute to the Trung Son Hydropower Project Management Board, local authorities have a proper overview about the feelings and aspirations of the people affected by the project. Through this study, stakeholders can have more effective interventions to improve the level of satisfaction of affected people for the next project.
