Summary of the results of the thesis: Firstly, the thesis has surveyed fixed expressions and idioms with the meaning of compliments and criticism in Vietnamese and Thai through the Vietnamese and Thai dictionaries and the dictionary of proverbs and idioms in Vietnamese and Thai. Thereby, the thesis has collected fixed expressions and idioms with the meaning of compliments and criticism, serving the research on practical errors and related issues.
Second, the thesis analyzed and compared the structures of fixed expressions and idiomatic expressions with the meaning of compliments and criticisms in Vietnamese and Thai. From there, the thesis analyzed the structures of nouns and verbs and compared and contrasted the structures to clarify the similarities and differences between the two languages.
