Summary of the thesis results: Firstly, the thesis surveyed fixed phrases and idioms with complimentary or critical meanings in Vietnamese and Thai languages through Vietnamese and Thai dictionaries and dictionaries of proverbs and idioms in Vietnamese and Thai. Through this, the thesis collected fixed phrases and idioms with complimentary or critical meanings, serving the research on practice errors and related issues.
Secondly, the thesis analyzed and compared the structure of fixed phrases and idioms with complimentary or critical meanings in Vietnamese and Thai. From this, the thesis analyzed the structure of noun phrases and verb phrases and compared these structures to clarify the similarities and differences between the two languages.
Thirdly, the thesis analyzed and compared the semantics and usage of fixed phrases and idioms with complimentary or critical meanings in Vietnamese and Thai. Through this, it broadened and clarified the linguistic and cultural values, thought patterns, and similarities and differences between the Vietnamese and Thai people.

Thereby, the thesis gathers complementing and criticizing fixed-expressions and idioms, serving the study of practical errors and related issues. Secondly, the thesis analyzes and compares the structures of fixed-expressions and idioms conveying complimenting and criticizing meaning in Vietnamese and Thai. From those results, the thesis analyzes the structures of nominal phrase and verbs phrase, compares and contrasts those structures to identify the similarities and differences between the two languages.
