10. Summary of the thesis results:
After researching literature on anxiety disorders and related issues, we have systematized the basic theories and therapeutic practices of anxiety disorders.Anxiety disorder is an emotional disturbance characterized by symptoms such as tension, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, increased physical tension like muscle tension, restlessness, rapid heartbeat, and facial flushing; exaggerated behaviors such as shouting and irritability; and negative impacts on various aspects of life, social relationships, and other manifestations lasting at least six months.
To assess and diagnose mental health problems, including anxiety disorders, we can combine various methods such as observation, clinical interviews based on the DSM-5 and ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders, and the results of several scales such as the RCADS-C depression rating scale, CDI, and the generalized anxiety scale for children.
After evaluation and treatment, the psychologist determined this to be a complex clinical case, quite typical of an anxiety disorder. Family circumstances and personal experiences were contributing factors to the client's anxiety.
This thesis primarily employs a cognitive-behavioral approach to address various client issues. It can be said that a crucial aspect of psychotherapy for anxiety disorders is the therapist's use of psychoeducation to help clients understand the psychological distress they experience. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) impacts clients' perceptions of non-functional beliefs and negative automatic thoughts. Simultaneously, this therapy equips clients with effective coping skills for psychological difficulties.
In reality, while there are increasing cases of anxiety disorders in children, only a small percentage receive professional psychological support. Only a few international schools currently have psychological support rooms to help students address these issues promptly. This also poses a challenge for students, as they sometimes hesitate to confide in their parents or seek therapy.
After 16 therapy sessions conducted in two phases and a two-month follow-up period, the psychologist observed that the client had overcome anxiety symptoms such as excessive worry, difficulty sleeping, irritability, aggressive behavior, throwing things, swearing, and physical manifestations such as sweaty hands, rapid heartbeat, and chest tightness. Initial symptoms of depression, such as decreased energy, avoidance of social interaction, and negative self-assessment, life outlook, and future prospects, had also improved.
Preventing mental health disorders is also emphasized through increasing clients' awareness of mental health and providing them with knowledge and skills for effective and positive coping.
In this study, the client had a unique situation; despite being only 12 years old, the client possessed more mature emotional and observational abilities than their age suggested. Negative personal experiences with their family and current circumstances led to such anxiety disorders.
The thesis used an integrated approach, with cognitive-behavioral therapy as its core, to address the diverse problems of the clients.
Through the treatment process and post-treatment follow-up, we observed that the client responded well to therapy. Cognitively: the client eliminated non-functional beliefs, reduced self-doubt about their circumstances, and developed a more positive self-assessment. Emotionally: negative emotions such as fear, shame, anxiety, and hatred decreased. Simultaneously, positive emotions such as joy, happiness, and excitement were experienced and maintained more stably. Behaviorally: the client replaced stressful behaviors with relaxation techniques and engaged in beneficial activities such as housework and interacting with others. The client's social environment also improved through changes in their perception of their father and friends, especially those of the opposite sex.
Clients are able to flexibly adopt and utilize the techniques and skills taught. These techniques are effective, helping clients to self-regulate their problems and develop social interaction skills.
Psychotherapy is highly effective in helping clients adjust their negative beliefs about themselves, others, and life. The therapy process flexibly combines techniques from various approaches, particularly cognitive-behavioral approaches, to achieve the best results for children. Therapists also strive to find additional social support resources to facilitate their clients' needs.
11. Practical applications:
Based on the results obtained from theoretical and practical research, this thesis provides an overview of childhood anxiety disorders and treatment methods. It demonstrates the importance of assessing, screening, and identifying the risk factors for anxiety disorders in children. Furthermore, psychological support services in schools and social organizations play a significant role: families need to strengthen their bond with their children, and schools need to propose solutions for school-based psychological support to help children develop holistically, both physically and mentally.

Following the literature review of anxiety disorders and related issues, we codified the basic theories as well as the therapeutic practices of anxiety disorders. Anxiety Disorder is an emotional disorder marked by stress, fatigue, loss of concentration, increased body states such as muscle tension, restlessness, restlessness, tachycardia, hot flushes; Excessive behaviors and behaviors such as screaming, irritability, impact on activities, social relationships, and manifestations last for at least 6 months.
To evaluate and diagnose mental health problems including anxiety disorder, we can combine many different methods such as observation, clinical questioning based on standard of diagnosis of anxiety disorder. DSM-5, ICD-10 and results of some scales such as: RCADS-C depression rating scale, CDI, general anxiety scale for children.
After the assessment and therapy process, the psychologist identified this as a complicated clinical case, quite typical for anxiety disorder. Family circumstances and personal experiences are factors that cause a client's anxiety.
The thesis has mainly used cognitive-behavioral approach to solve different problems of the client. It can be said that an important aspect of psychotherapy for people with anxiety disorders is that therapists use psychological education to help clients improve their understanding of the psychological disturbances caused in the home. the customer likes. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) affects the client's perception of non-functional beliefs, negative automatic thoughts. At the same time, this therapy equips the client with skills to effectively cope with psychological difficulties.
In fact, there are more and more cases of children with anxiety disorders, but only a few people receive professional psychological support. Only a few international schools today have psychological support rooms to help students solve problems promptly. This is also a problem for students because sometimes they do not dare talk to their parents to go to the therapists.
After 16 sessions of therapy conducted in two treatment phases and follow-up after 2 months of therapy, psychologists found that the client was free of symptoms of anxiety such as: excessive anxiety, difficulty sleeping. , easily irritable, aggressive behavior, throwing things, cursing and physical manifestations such as: sweating hands, heart palpitations, chest tightness. Early symptoms of depression such as reduced energy, avoidance of people, negative self-assessment, life and future are also overcome.
The prevention of psychological disturbances is also focused on increasing the client's awareness of mental health as well as providing knowledge and skills to effectively respond.
In this study, the client had special circumstances, even though he was only 12 years old, but the client had the abilities to sense emotions and to observe older than his age. Negative personal experiences with families and current circumstances should lead to such anxiety disorders.
The thesis has used the integration of therapies with cognitive-behavioral therapy as the focus to solve different client problems.
Through the process of therapy and follow-up after therapy, we find that the client responds well to the treatment process. Awareness: clients have eliminated non-functional beliefs, reduced self-esteem about their situation, and made self-assessment more positively. About emotions: reducing negative emotions such as fear, shame, anxiety, hatred. At the same time, experiences of positive emotions such as happiness, happiness, and emotional excitement are maintained more stable. Behavioral: client replaces stressful behavior by practicing relaxation, participating in beneficial activities such as: chores, chores, interacting with others. The social environment around the client also improved through the change in perception of dad and friends, especially of the opposite sex.
Clients can receive and flexibly use instructional techniques and skills. The techniques are effective, helping clients to control their own problems as well as developing social interaction skills.
Psychotherapy is very effective in assisting clients in correcting clients' negative beliefs about themselves, about everyone around them, and about life. The treatment process has also applied a flexible combination of techniques of different approaches, especially cognitive-behavioral approaches, in order to bring the best effect to the child. The therapist has also made every effort to seek out other social support resources to facilitate clients.12.
11. Practical applicability in practice
With the results obtained from the theoretical and practical research process, the thesis provides an overview of children's anxiety disorders and therapeutic methods.
