ThesisEducation and Confucian examinations in Thanh Hoa under the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1919)This thesis provides a systematic overview of the Confucian examination system in Thanh Hoa during the period 1802-1919, including: the school system, exemplary teachers and students, policies promoting education, the provincial examination system, academic achievements, and villages and families with a tradition of academic excellence. All aspects will be examined and evaluated to identify key characteristics of the Confucian examination system in Thanh Hoa during this period, highlighting the differences between Thanh Hoa's system and that of other localities. Therefore, this thesis will make a significant contribution to the study of Confucian examinations in Vietnam in general and the Nguyen dynasty in particular.
Furthermore, this thesis will contribute to fostering pride in the tradition of studiousness and respect for teachers, helping the younger generation of Thanh Hoa in particular and the whole country in general to inherit and promote the fine traditions of learning and examinations in the process of self-development and career building, contributing to building the homeland in the period of integration and innovation.
