Developing souvenir products in conjunction with tourism development is one of the strategies that localities are increasingly focusing on to contribute to improving the effectiveness of tourism activities. Developing souvenir products not only enhances the attractiveness of destinations, attracts tourists, and increases the added value of the tourism industry, but it is also an effective way to promote the image of the country, its people, and the unique cultural characteristics of the destination. Furthermore, it addresses employment issues, improves the quality of life for local people, and contributes to the preservation and development of traditional craft villages.
Hanoi is home to numerous historical and cultural relics, as well as traditional craft villages and streets, giving it ample opportunity and potential for developing souvenir products. However, the development of Hanoi's souvenir industry has not yet lived up to its potential. Therefore, it is essential to maximize Hanoi's inherent potential to develop souvenir products to serve tourists.
The thesis achieved several results, including: systematizing theoretical issues regarding souvenir products, the significance of souvenir products, and the role of souvenir products in tourism development; identifying the souvenir product needs of tourists; evaluating the current state of souvenir production and business in Hanoi; and proposing solutions for developing Hanoi's souvenir products to meet the needs of tourists.
Based on a comprehensive approach to souvenir product development, encompassing everything from new design or refinement of existing products to production, particularly the marketing and marketing aspects, this study assesses the current state of souvenir product development in Hanoi. From this, it proposes specific solutions to address the limitations within this complete process. Ultimately, the research on "Developing Hanoi's Souvenir Products to Serve Tourists" contributes to the development of souvenir products and the promotion of Hanoi tourism.
