In its three chapters, the thesis focuses on researching and presenting the following basic results:

Chapter 1 – an overview of the topic "Investigative Economic Reporting on the People's Police Television Channel" – focuses on clarifying the concepts of "television investigative reporting," "television economic investigative reporting," and "investigative economic reporting on the People's Police Television Channel." Based on research, assimilation, inheritance, and selective reference to previous scientific works and topics, the thesis continues to affirm the strengths of television economic investigative reporting in the general development trend of modern journalism and the specific case of this genre on the People's Police Television Channel (ANTV). The thesis presents criteria for evaluating what constitutes a television economic investigative report. From this, it affirms the position and importance of economic investigative reporting on the ANTV channel and in the evolution of current journalistic genres.

Chapter 2 of this thesis delves into surveying, analyzing, and evaluating the current state of economic investigative reporting on ANTV television channel from January 2014 to June 2015. Through examining the works in terms of content, presentation style, and analyzing the advantages of investigative reporting on ANTV, combined with summarizing accumulated information from in-depth interviews with experts, managers, and television viewers; and comparing economic investigative reporting broadcast on ANTV with other television channels… the author provides specific and objective assessments of the successes and limitations of economic investigative reporting works; and evaluates the social impact of economic investigative reporting on ANTV television.

In this chapter, the author also highlights the successes achieved by economic investigative reporting on ANTV television channel, such as maximizing the use of visual language, the use of commentary, the richness of content, the elements of music and sound, the way interviews are conducted, and the use of "exclusive" source materials from investigative agencies. These factors have created significant value, unique characteristics, and appeal for economic investigative reporting on ANTV television channel. From this, the thesis points out the importance and role of positions such as director, scriptwriter, cameraman, commentary writer, post-production staff, etc., in the process of creating a television economic investigative report.

Through surveys, analysis of real-world data, and in-depth interviews with those involved, the thesis identifies many existing problems and limitations. In Chapter 3, the thesis boldly proposes several solutions to improve the quality of economic investigative reporting on ANTV television, including solutions related to human resources, equipment, and technical infrastructure; innovation in content and presentation; policy and financial mechanisms; the network of collaborators; and issues related to the time, quantity, and frequency of broadcasts, promotion, introduction, and exchange.

The greatest achievement for the thesis author – a local police television reporter with 10 years of investigative reporting experience – is that these studies are truly meaningful, providing a foundation and premise for realizing the aspirations of continuing to dedicate oneself to economic investigative reporting, contributing to exposing the evils and wrongdoings in society. In fact, over the past period, the researcher has had interesting experiences creating economic investigative reports that won Gold Medals at the National Police Television Festival and the A Prize at the Ha Tinh Provincial Radio and Television Festival with the works:A major overhaul is needed in forest management and protection; "Red alert on corruption in land management"; "Irregularities at the Ngan Truoi - Cam Trang project""..."

11. Practical applications:

This thesis further affirms the important role of economic investigative journalism in television and in society, especially in problem-solving. It asserts that economic investigative journalism is a "battleground" for talented, dedicated journalists with impeccable ethics, willing to overcome difficulties, dangers, and the pressures of the market economy to expose wrongdoing, particularly within government agencies and among public servants, in order to produce outstanding works that guide public opinion. The thesis initially outlines criteria for economic investigative journalism in television; suggesting directions for further development and improvement of the effectiveness of this genre in the development of journalism in general and ANTV television in particular.

The research findings, both theoretical and practical, presented in this thesis will serve as a reference for the ANTV television editorial board, journalists, and media managers in organizing and utilizing economic investigative reporting. The thesis also hopes to contribute to improving the skills of television reporters and journalists in conducting economic investigative reporting, and to provide a valuable source of information for researchers, management agencies, and anyone interested in this topic.

If circumstances permit, this thesis could also open up many avenues for further research on economic investigative reporting on police television: for example, regarding visual language, details, non-verbal elements in economic investigative reporting, the process of constructing the work, and the presentation style of television economic investigative reporting….

The content includes 3 chapters, the thesis focusing on researching and stating several basic results as follow:

Chapter 1 – the overall of the topic named "Economic investigative report on People's Public Security chanel", the author focused on explaining definitions “television investigative report”, “economic investigative report on television”, “economic investigative report on People's Public Security tv chanel”. Upon the research basis, collection, succession, selective reference for previous works, scientific topic, the thesis continues to strengthen the economic investigative report confirm on tv chanel in common development trend of current press and the particular curriculum of this type on People's Public Security chanel (ANTV). The thesis stated criteria to evaluate how economic investigative report is. Since then, leading to confirm position and importance of economic investigative report on ANTV and the movement of all kinds of current press.

In the chapter 2, the thesis is subjected to make a survey, analyze and evaluate the actual status of economic investigative report on ANTV, from January 2014 to June 2015. Through learning works via reflected content, presenting form and analysis of advantages of the investigative report on ANTV, combined with the synthetic of accummulated issues in professional interview such as professor, managers, audiences; concurrently, combined the economic investigative report on ANTV with such reports on other channels… the author stated considerations, evaluation particularly and objectively on successes and limits of economic investigative reports; to evaluate the social impact of economic investigation report on ANTV chanel.

In this chapter, the author also got the successes that the economic investigative report on ANTV chanel on maximum exploiting language and image, comment usage, rich content, the other elements such as music, noise, on exploiting an interview, “inclusive” material resource from investigative authority… All of them created a big value, an individual uniqueness, attraction of the economic investigative report on ANTV chanel. Since then, the thesis indicates importance, role of other positions such as director, writer, cameraman, comment writer, logistics... in the process of buiding an economic investigative report on TV chanel.

Through survey, actual figure analysis, interview for interested party, existing issues or restrictions are also indicated. In the chapter 3, the thesis strongly indicates some solutions to improve the quality of economic investigation report on ANTV chanel such as solution groups related to human, means, technical facilities; elements to innovation of content and presenting form; on mechanisms and policies, finance; collaborator network system as well as issues related to telecasting time, quantity and frequency, promotion, introduction, exchanges...

The biggest result for the author of this thesis – a reporter of local police chanel, has 10 years experience on making investigative reports, is really meaningful, it's a basis to perform nutures and a motive power to continue to make other economic investigative reports, contribute to expose the bad issues in society. In fact, in the previous, the researcher had the interesting experiences when building economic investigative reports which gained the Gold Medal in domestic CAND TV Festival, A Prize of Ha Tinh Province TV Festival with the following works: “It's necessary to “major surgery” in forest management and protection”; “Red alert on a corruption status in landing management”;“ Dubious and Tortuousin Ngan Truoi – Cam Trang project"..."

12. Applicable ability in fact:

With the topic, thesis continues to confirm economic investigative report act an important role for TV, society. Especially economic investigative report on handling with problems. It can be confirmed that the economic investigative report is “a big land” of talent, confidential journalists who have virtuous character and they're ready to overcome the difficulties, dangerous cases, pressure of social marketing to expose bad things, especially public agencies, people's public servants, to have excellent works, public opinion orientation. The thesis stated the criterias for types of economic investigative reports on TV; to open research direction to keep on developing and improving the result of using economic investigative report in current press development in general and ANTV channel in particular.

The research results are from argument and actual issues of the thesis will be reference material for the Editorial Board of ANTV, journalists, pressing managers on organizing, performing and using economic investigation report. The thesis also hopes to contribute a part to improve skills of making economic investigative reports for reporters, TV journalists, and it's an information resource for researchers, managing authorities and the people who concerned about the issues.
