This thesis provides a theoretical framework for the political system. Chapter 1 presents the concept of a political system and the formation and development of the political system of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from 1945 to 1954. Chapter 2 examines the structure and operating principles of the political system of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. Chapter 3 evaluates the advantages and disadvantages in the organization and operation of the political system of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from 1954 to 1975, drawing historical lessons for the present period.

Practical applications: This thesis provides a theoretical framework on the political system and knowledge about the formation and development of the political system of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, especially its structure and operating principles during the period 1954-1975. Through this, it draws lessons learned in organization and operation methods for the current reform of Vietnam's political system.

In Chapter 1, the thesis presents the concept of the political system and the formation and development of the political system of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam from 1945 to 1954. In Chapter 2, the thesis has examined the structure and operating principles of the political system of Vietnam's Democratic Republic from 1954 to 1975. In Chapter 3, the thesis evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and the operation of the political system of Vietnam's Democratic Republic in 1954-1975, from which to draw historical lessons for the current period.
