This thesis is the result of collecting, compiling, processing, and analyzing land registry documents of Chuong Duc district (Son Nam Thuong town) in the early 19th century. In addition, the author exploited information from other sources such as historical records, inscriptions, consulted research works by scientists related to the thesis, and conducted field surveys. Based on this, using historical science methods with the support of information technology in data processing, the thesis has painted a comprehensive and accurate picture of the scale of villages, the land situation, and land ownership in Chuong Duc district in the early 19th century. The thesis focuses on analyzing the objective and subjective causes leading to the movement and changes in land ownership throughout the district, and simultaneously highlights the impact of the land ownership situation on the economic, cultural, and social life of the district in the early 19th century.

Summary of the findings of the thesis: This thesis is the result of the sources-collecting and statistical analysis of land registers of Chuong Duc Prefecture (Son Nam Thuong) in the Early 19th Century. In addition, the author exploits historical information from other sources such as ancient texts, epitaphs, research works that relate to the thesis topic as well as do fieldwork. Based on those sources, by historical methods, with support of information technology in data processing, the thesis has sketched out of the village scale, village land situation, land ownership in Chuong Duc Prefecture in the early 19th century.
