Thesis Approaching the two films When I am home (2017) by Vu Ngoc Dang and Hai Phuong (2019) by Le Van Kiet from a cultural perspective aims to study and approach the two films from a cultural perspective, specifically examining the movement of cultural aspects in the two films through the core issue of visualization, expression of the cultural space of the South, the relationship between people in the culture of behavior with the community, with themselves, the collision of cultural values in people's spiritual life. Thereby, we can see the life of the countryside or city in Vietnam appearing very realistically, it is not only the poetic and charming beauty of the rivers and villages, the richness of nature, but also the survival of each person.
At the same time, the thesis looks at the outstanding elements of the narrative and cinematic language of the two films to clarify the regional and stylistic imprints of each director from a cultural perspective.
