10. Summary of thesis results:

The thesis has reviewed domestic and foreign works on community participation in tourism activities. On that basis, the author has established a theoretical basis for the research problem (concept, participants, levels of participation, factors affecting participation, etc.). By means of observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, etc., the thesis has shown that in Bac Ha, the level of participation in tourism activities of the people is still passive, depending largely on the requirements of travel businesses. The role of local authorities in influencing community participation in tourism activities is still limited. The thesis has also proposed directions to increase community participation in tourism development here such as building a tourism complex model, training in professional skills, creating tourism products with Bac Ha identity, promoting links with travel companies, and enhancing promotion.

11. Practical applicability: Some contents may be useful for Bac Ha District People's Committee in tourism development orientation.

On that basis, the author has designed a theoretical basis for the thesis (concepts, participants, levels of participation, factors affecting participation ...). By observation methods, in-depth interviews, questionnaires ... the thesis has shown that the level of participation in tourism activities of the people is still passive, depending on the requirements of the businesses. The role of local government on this matter is still limited. The thesis also proposes some orientations to increase the participation of the community in tourism development here such as building a kind of tourism business cooperative, training workshop, creating tourism products with identity Bac Ha, promoting cooperation with travel companies, developing tourism promotion.
