10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis provides an overview of domestic and international studies on community participation in tourism activities. Based on this, the author establishes the theoretical framework for the research problem (concept, participating components, levels of participation, factors influencing participation, etc.). Through observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, etc., the thesis shows that in Bac Ha, the level of participation of local people in tourism activities remains passive, heavily dependent on the demands of travel agencies. The role of local authorities in influencing community participation in tourism activities is limited. The thesis also proposes directions to increase community participation in tourism development in the area, such as building tourism complexes, providing professional training, creating tourism products with Bac Ha's unique identity, strengthening linkages with travel companies, and enhancing promotion.

11. Practical applications: Some of the content may be useful for the Bac Ha District People's Committee in guiding tourism development.

12. Further research directions: Determining the role of culture of some ethnic minority communities in the decision to participate in tourism activities in Bac Ha, Lao Cai.
