10. Thesis summary:
The thesis has described in detail the usage of the variants /l/,/n/ by the communities of Dai Loc, Yen Chinh, Y Yen, Nam Dinh and the social stratification affecting the confused pronunciation of /l/, /n/, as well as the attitudes of the communities towards the pronunciation and the need to change the pronunciation typical of their homeland.
The thesis shows that the pronunciation of non-standard variants /l/, /n/ is preserved at a high level by the Dai Loc language community. While the surrounding area uses the variants /l/, /n/ nationwide, the Dai Loc people still retain their characteristic pronunciation, especially those over 50 years old. The communication environment for them does not create any impact on their language habits.
Through the surveys in this study, we found that the way of pronunciation of non-standard variants /l/, /n/ of the Dai Loc, Yen Chinh, Y Yen, Nam Dinh ethnic communities is gradually changing towards the national language. This situation mainly occurs with the young generation. This reality may be beyond the subjective intention of many older people, but it is an undeniable objective reality.
11. Practical application:
The results of this thesis can be applied in practice to help recognize the dialects and dialects of Vietnam, enriching the linguistic picture. At the same time, the results of the thesis can see the social stratification affecting the use of non-standard variants /l/, /n/ and their own attitudes of acceptance, thereby having appropriate measures to preserve or educate for change.
