10. Summary of the thesis results:

The author has researched and systematized the theoretical aspects of document archiving in general, and in particular, the archives of prominent scientists of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Based on practical research, this thesis assesses the current state of archival collection and compilation by prominent scientists of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in general, and the case of Professor Nguyen Van Hieu in particular, as well as the difficulties encountered in carrying out this collection and compilation work.

Based on the current situation regarding the collection and compilation of archival documents, Professor Nguyen Van Hieu, the author, boldly proposes three groups of solutions with seven specific measures to collect and compile archival documents for effective and scientific management and utilization of their value.

11. Practical applications:

This aims to reorganize the theoretical framework so that units within the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology can apply it to the collection and compilation of archival materials of prominent scientists in particular and individuals in general.

The author studied and systematized the theory on archives of personal documentation in general and archives of typical scientists of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in particular.

Based on actual research, the thesis provides evaluation as well as difficulties on situation of collection of the archives documents on typical scientists of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology generally and specially the case of Academician Professor Nguyen Van Hieu. Through the results of the study, the author recommends 03 groups of solutions with 7 specialized methods in order to collect and find out documents to be managed and contribute to valuate effectively and systematically documentation on file.

Systematize the theorist basis to be applied by Departments and Research Institutes under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) in order to collect and find out data related to typical scientists as well as personal information of the VAST's staff.
