- Summary of thesis results: - The thesis has examined the macro structure of the news in the news program on Voice of Vietnam, including: news structure, news topics, the use of sentences and words in the news on Voice of Vietnam. We obtained some results, such as: Sentences in the news on Voice of Vietnam are mainly active sentences, the number of syllables is from 20 - 40 syllables, the subject-predicate structure is easy to understand; the class of words belonging to the writing style accounts for a high proportion, besides there are many colloquial words... - Examining the micro structure of the news, we focused on the length of the news, the speed of presenting the news on the air, the use of intonation elements such as: pitch, duration, intensity... when presenting the news. In addition to the listening-feeling technique, we combine evaluation and survey based on images recorded on Cool Edit - a professional audio processing software, currently used at Voice of Vietnam - to study the microstructure of the news. - From the survey results, we propose a number of issues in the use of language, presenting news on air, in order to improve the quality of news bulletins on Voice of Vietnam.
