Summary of Thesis Results: Class is one of the fundamental attributes of all literatures. In Vietnam during the period 1945-1985, class distinction became one of the fundamental principles of socialist realism in literary creation and exerted a dominant influence on other attributes in revolutionary literature and art of this era. This study, investigating the influence of the concept of class distinction in Vietnamese revolutionary literature from 1945-1985, aims to understand and re-examine a past period of the country's literature, moving towards a comprehensive view and objective assessment of the achievements as well as the limitations of Vietnamese literature from after the August Revolution to before the Doi Moi (Renovation) period.
