10. Summary of the results of the thesis:
From the results of theoretical and practical research on "The relationship between belief in Buddhist teachings and parents' behavior towards their children”, we draw some conclusions:
- The majority of subjects have faith in the doctrine of Cause and Effect and the Four Noble Truths in Buddhism. At the same time, they are able to apply them to their behavior towards their children in the family, in which positive behaviors are used quite often in moral education - lifestyle, work - study or communication with children. On the contrary, behaviors of an imposing and authoritarian nature are reduced.
- There are gender differences in parents' beliefs in Buddhist teachings and their behavior. Typically, mothers interact more with their children and use more positive behaviors with them.
11. Practical application:
Behaving with children is a very important skill for each person, this skill can be acquired through learning, training and practice in daily life. The group of authors proposes learning, knowing and applying the law of cause and effect, the Four Noble Truths in life as a method to consider and adjust parents' behavior towards their children to enhance positive behaviors, reduce negative behaviors, in order to create a respectful, democratic relationship based on the love of each parent for their children.
Monasteries and pagodas can create conditions to open meditation courses, courses and practice meditation combined with Dharma teachings for many different audiences such as children, students, adults, and family members so that they can learn and practice for themselves the awareness of the law of Cause and Effect in life, about how to escape conflicts and difficulties on the journey of life, thereby leading to positive changes in behavior.
