Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers. Diplomatic relations, economic relations and cultural exchanges between the two countries have been established for a long time. In the border area between Vietnam and China, the Zhuang people in Guangxi and the Nung people in Lang Son province have close relations with each other. In China, the Nung people, along with the Tay people, are considered to be Zhuang ethnic groups. According towild history andDLang Son addressWhile the Nung people in Lang Son came from Van Thanh, Long Chau and Long Anh of Guangxi, China, these two ethnic groups have many similarities in ethnic culture, including folk songs.
The topic aims to systematically study the folk songs of the Nung people in Lang Son province, Vietnam and the Zhuang people in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, to find out the similarities and differences. From there, propose solutions to preserve, maintain and promote the good values of this cultural form in each country.
Based on the study of similarities and differences in folk songs of these two ethnic groups, propose appropriate solutions to preserve cultural values, and at the same time, propose to organize Vietnamese-Chinese folk song activities in the border area to promote cultural exchange and strengthen friendship between Vietnam and China.

INFORMATION ON MASTER'S THESIS
Vietnam and China are close neighbors and diplomatic relations, economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries have been established for a long time. In the border area of two countries, the Zhuang people in Guangxi and the Nung people in Lang Son have a close relationship. In China, the Nung and the Tay are considered as the Zhuang. According to the history and geography of Lang Son of Vietnam, Nung people in Lang Son originated from Van Thanh, Long Chau and Long Anh of Guangxi, China. These two ethnic groups have many similarities in national culture and one of them is folk songs.
The research aims to study the folk songs of the Nung people in Lang Son province of Vietnam and the Zhuang people in Guangxi of China (called Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), thus finding similarities and differences. From there, solutions are proposed to preserve and promote the good values of this kind of culture in each country.
Based on the study of the similarities and differences in the folk songs of both tribes, solutions are proposed to maintain cultural values in each country. Besides, it is proposed to organize Vietnamese - Chinese folksongs activities in the border area with the aim of promoting cultural exchanges and enhancing friendships between Vietnam and China.
