10. Summary of thesis results:
The study identified several factors, partially explaining the causes and impact of the age of first marriage among VTC Digital Television staff. This reveals the current mindset of some young people regarding marriage. Furthermore, the study contributes to research on the impact of the age of first marriage on fertility rates, family planning, and housing development.
Research shows that the average age of first marriage for employees at VTC Digital Television (VTC) is higher the younger they are compared to the national average. Almost no cases of marriage before the age of 20 occur. In age groups of 40 and above, the age of first marriage is earlier than in age groups from 20 to under 40.
Many factors influence the age of first marriage for employees at VTC. The first reason is economic factors.
Couples living near nuclear families, far from parents or relatives, and with little or no financial support, tend to marry later than couples living near extended families. The most obvious form of economic support is assistance in owning a home. Many respondents believe that owning a home is crucial for marital happiness, especially in the current challenging socio-economic climate.
Family and social pressure also influences the marriage decisions of VTC employees, as well as many young people today. However, the impact is not significant because their views on marriage are quite clear. They believe they can tolerate constant family complaints about marriage rather than rush into marriage and live with a spouse they don't feel is truly compatible.
The research results also indicate that a significant number of VTC employees choose to get married because they have been in a relationship for quite a long time (3 years or more). They get married to rekindle their love and move to a new stage. Long-term relationships become a habit, with frequent meetings, conversations, and expressions of care. Furthermore, because they haven't found anyone better than their current partner throughout their relationship, they decide to get married.
The nature of the job is a significant factor influencing the age of first marriage for employees at VTC. The amount of time a person spends on work each day greatly influences their decision to marry. Working at a television station is not a regular office job. Most people spend more than 8 hours a day on work. Furthermore, these office hours are very different from standard office hours, such as early morning, late afternoon, or even nighttime. Therefore, they have little time to meet people outside of those they already know/love or those in the same profession. For example, at one channel with over 100 people, there are 6-7 couples who have fallen in love with and married colleagues from the same channel.
Occupational characteristics impact not only the amount of time each person spends on work each day but also their life views. Most television professionals admit to having quite liberal views on love, sex, and marriage. This is evident in the fact that many couples have sexual relationships and even pregnancies before marriage. And it is precisely because of this, especially the pregnancy itself, that couples decide when to get married.
The study identifies several factors influencing the age of first marriage among VTC employees. It reveals that a segment of today's youth holds relatively new views on love, sex, and marriage. Occupation also significantly impacts the views and actions of VTC employees in particular, and young people in general, regarding these issues.
11. Practical applications:
This study provides a fairly detailed perspective on the age of first marriage among employees at VTC Digital Television. Through this, the study reveals the changing views, perceptions, and actions of a segment of today's youth regarding love, sex, and marriage.

Summary results of the thesis:
The studies have shown many factors which can explain a part of causes as well as the impact on the age at first marriage of the staff workers in Vietnam Digital Television. Thereby, young people's thought about marriage is reflected. Besides, the study also contributed to the study planning of fertility because it impacts directly on birth - rate issues and building houses.
The study has also shown that the average age of first marriage in most of staff workers in Vietnam Digital Television tends to be elder than youth in the whole country. Almost no cases married before 20 years old. At the age of 40 up to over, the age at first marriage is earlier than the age group from 20 to under 40.
Finance is the main cause of this situation besides other factors. For couples who live near the nuclear family, far away from their parents or relatives, no or little financial support they are getting married later than couples, living near extended family. The ability of owning a house is the clearest expression with a young couple.
Many surveys have shown that having a home is an important condition to ensure the happiness of the couple after marriage, especially in difficult economic conditions today. Without a house or a flat, a young couple must have a savings up to hundred millions to get marriage.
Pressures from family and society are also factors affecting the decision to get married of workers in Vietnam Digital Television and many other young people. However, the level of impact is not large because the view on getting marriage of workers in Vietnam Digital Television is quite clear. They completely accept that they have to get the complaints about marriage than to get in a hurry and living with a wife / husband that the don't feel really fit.
The study also shows an interesting point that, most of official staff in Vietnam Digital Television got married because of a long loving process (from 3 years). They got marrige to renew their love and change into another stage of their life.
It seems to be a routine when they often have to meet each other everyday in office. A long time to love in office they couldn't meet another, this is also cause they decided to get marriage.
The big factor effect to marriage decision is the amount of time which a person uses for working a day. And working in television station uses many different times, even more than 8 hours per day. For example, early morning, late afternoon or even at night. Therefore, they have little time to meet other people, most of them they know in office or related work. So they love each other. In VTC 14, there are more than 100 people and there are 6-7 pairs in love and got marriage.
Characteristic occupation has an impact on time of marriage not only a mount of tine they use for work but also in life perspective. Most people working in this field confess that the y have open minded about love, sex and marriage. There are many couples who make love and even get pregnant even before marriage. And it is a reason, especially impact on decision time of marrige.
In this study shows some factors that affect the age of first marriage of workers in Vietnam Digital Television. Thereby, shown that a part of young people have new perspective on love, sex and marriage. Characteristic occupation also impacts rather much on the views and actions of workers in Vietnam Digital Television in particular and in general.
