Based on the research, overview of some theoretical issues of resort tourism development; Analysis and evaluation of the current status of resort tourism exploitation and development in Ba Vi district; the thesis proposes solutions and makes some recommendations to develop resort tourism in Ba Vi district - Hanoi, contributing to the development of Hanoi tourism in the coming years.

The thesis has the following basic contributions:

- Overview of some basic theoretical issues in research on resort tourism development;

- Analysis of conditions for developing resort tourism in Ba Vi district - Hanoi.

- Analysis of the current situation of resort tourism in Ba Vi district - Hanoi.

- The thesis has conducted sociological research and through that assessed market needs in tourism development in Ba Vi - Hanoi;

- The thesis has proposed a number of solutions such as product development; improving the quality of human resources; marketing; tourism planning... and made a number of recommendations to improve the effectiveness of resort tourism development in Ba Vi district.

11. Practical application:

The research results of the thesis can be used as reference documents for state management agencies (Hanoi City People's Committee, Ba Vi District People's Committee, General Department of Tourism, Hanoi Department of Tourism), and related departments in the management and exploitation of resort tourism development in Ba Vi district.

12. Further research directions:

The scientific topic of the thesis is an orientation for the author to develop future scientific research works such as: "Diversifying tourism products and minimizing seasonality in tourism development in Ba Vi - Hanoi".
