The contribution of this thesis lies in its detailed analysis of the current state of tourism development cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand from 1990 to the present. The thesis also focuses on highlighting the achievements made, while simultaneously identifying existing shortcomings and limitations in the process of tourism development cooperation between the two countries, based on their existing tourism potential.
In particular, the thesis presents several lessons learned from Thailand's tourism development that Vietnam's tourism sector needs to learn from. Furthermore, the thesis highlights the promising prospects for Vietnam-Thailand tourism cooperation, especially as the two countries are working towards establishing the ASEAN Community by the end of 2015. With this event, the Vietnam-Thailand tourism cooperation is further strengthened, and the achievements in this cooperation are of great significance, contributing to enhancing each country's position in the region and internationally.

During the process of collecting materials, developing, and completing the thesis, many new research directions for the author related to the issue of tourism development cooperation between the two countries were opened up, such as: Prospects for Vietnam-Thailand tourism cooperation within the framework of the ASEAN Community; Cooperation in road tourism development between Vietnam and Thailand (prospects and solutions)... These topics have profound scientific and practical significance, contributing to promoting friendly and cooperative neighborly relations and enhancing mutual understanding, while simultaneously integrating the image of Vietnam and Thailand into the regional and global tourism industry.
