The results of the thesis "Research on the Development of Cultural Tourism in the Western Yen Tu Area (located in Bac Giang Province)" include, besides the introduction, conclusion, appendix, and references, the main content of the thesis consists of 3 chapters, in which:

– Research and systematize some theoretical issues on cultural tourism, exploring the close relationship between culture and cultural tourism. Simultaneously, present some experiences in developing cultural tourism in several countries around the world as well as in Vietnam, which have practical significance and serve as lessons for developing cultural tourism in the western Yen Tu area.

– Analyze the conditions and resources for developing cultural tourism; research the current state of cultural tourism activities in the western Yen Tu area (current status regarding resources, human resources, technical infrastructure, management organization, market, products, etc.).

– Propose several solutions and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of cultural tourism development in the western Yen Tu area in a sustainable manner and to preserve resources and heritage.

The thesis is an academic work on “Research and development on culture tourism in Tay Yen Tu area (Bac Giang province)”. Beyond the introduction, conclusion, appendixes and references, the thesis has three chapters with the main results as follows:

Firstly, the thesis studies and systematizes theories of cultural tourism. Of which, the thesis seeks for the relation between culture and cultural tourism and proposes cultural tourism development in some nations in the world and in Vietnam. The theory is applied for Tay Yen Tu area as a typical case.

Secondly, the thesis analyzes the conditions and resources for developing cultural tourism. It shows the current status on developing cultural tourism in Tay Yen Tu area (resources, material facilities, managing, markets, products, etc.).

Finally, the thesis suggests some solutions and discussions to improve the development on cultural tourism in Tay Yen Tu area in the view of sustainable development and heritage conservation.
