The research contributes to building a theoretical and practical foundation for the study of social organizations and social capital in rural areas today.
Research on the role of rural informal organizations in social capital development, specifically in the case of Lien Hoa commune, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province, shows that:
Lien Hoa commune has a fairly diverse network of informal social organizations, including 15 organizations.
+ Although these organizations differ in terms of establishment time, organizational structure, and activities, they have made significant contributions to the cultural and spiritual life of the people as well as to the economic development of the locality.
The operation of the network of informal organizations in Lien Hoa has helped strengthen the system of trust within the community, enhancing mutual support based on the principle of reciprocity and established values. This has created a strong social network within the local community, which is essential for maintaining and developing social capital. However, the social capital generated by the network of informal organizations in Lien Hoa is primarily used in the cultural and spiritual activities of the people, while its role in economic development remains unclear.
