In Chapter 1 – an overview of the topic "television documentaries about the sea and islands," the author focuses on addressing some general theories about television documentaries and current issues concerning the sea and islands. Specifically, the research clarifies the concepts of "television," "documentary," and "television documentary." These factors have created significant value for documentaries about the sea and islands.
