10. Summary of thesis results:
The thesis has clarified the concept of corruption in China and Vietnam, thereby creating a basis for clearly identifying the nature and core causes of corruption, the consequences and risks of impact on economic, political and social life. The thesis has also analyzed, compared and clarified the model, implementation practices and results of anti-corruption work in China after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and in Vietnam since the 11th National Congress to date.
The thesis argues that the theoretical and practical issues in the fight against corruption in China and Vietnam in recent times show similarities and differences that Vietnam can learn from. Specifically: The Parties and Governments of both countries have shown their determination to fight corruption and have vigorously implemented many anti-corruption policies and measures. Both countries have initially achieved certain results. However, there are also some differences in institutions, mechanisms and measures in the fight against corruption. In particular, in Vietnam, the handling of corruption violators always shows humanity and has a deterrent nature, while in China, high-ranking officials who commit corruption are handled very resolutely, such as being dismissed from office, expelled from the Party and prosecuted before the law. The thesis also points out some shortcomings and limitations in anti-corruption work in China and Vietnam, thereby helping Vietnamese authorities continue to research, select, and adjust methods and ways of implementing anti-corruption to suit the new situation.
11. Practical application:
The thesis has highlighted the risks, consequences, and negative impacts of corruption on social life in China and Vietnam. The comparison and analysis clarify the similarities and differences, draw some lessons from anti-corruption in China, and suggest that Vietnamese authorities should study and refer to anti-corruption work in our country in the coming time.
