Since the political upheavals of the "Arab Spring" and the complex and protracted course of the Syrian civil war, numerous articles and research papers have been written on this topic. However, to date, most documents have only provided a general assessment of Russia's role in the Middle East or its attitude/policies in the Syrian civil war. There are no comprehensive, long-term studies or research papers that systematically analyze Russia's continuous role in the Syrian civil war from 2011 to the present. This thesis assesses the essence of Russia's policy towards the Syrian civil war, particularly its intentions, successes, limitations, and impacts on the region and the world.

- Regarding the Syrian civil war, the thesis highlighted the characteristics of the Syrian civil war compared to conflicts in other countries within the context of the "Arab Spring," thereby identifying the internal and external causes of the civil war, its profound impact on Syria's internal politics and foreign relations, as well as its consequences for the region and the world.

- Regarding the Russian Federation's attitude and policies toward the Syrian civil war, the thesis deeply analyzes the subjective and objective factors influencing Russian policy, as well as the implementation process, the results achieved, and the impact of this policy on the developments in Syria, the regional landscape, the balance of power, and the positions and actions of the parties involved. Simultaneously, the thesis focuses on forecasting the prospects for resolving the conflict in Syria and the roles of the parties directly and indirectly involved, with a particular emphasis on clarifying the role and implementation of Russian policy in the future.

11. Practical applications:

The crisis in Syria is a sensitive issue in international relations. Given the current complex situation, the Syrian issue and the roles and policies of the parties involved will continue to be discussed at various United Nations forums. Therefore, studying and analyzing the situation is crucial for foreign policy, advising on diplomatic conduct, and guiding information and communication efforts, avoiding any negative impact on Vietnam's long-term interests in Syria and the region. Furthermore, this thesis serves as a valuable reference for teaching and research in international relations at international relations training institutions.

12. Future research directions:

The conflict in Syria remains unresolved, although there have been positive developments. However, it is predicted that the conflict will not end anytime soon due to the tug-of-war over interests among the directly involved parties, as well as complex external influences. The situation in Syria and the policies and actions of Russia and other countries continue to demand objective and multifaceted assessments and analyses to clarify the nature of the conflict and the roles of each side, especially Russia, the United States, the West, and the countries of the Middle East.
