Summary of thesis results: 1) Reviewing the most important criteria for evaluating an integrated library management system, then delving into the system architecture, technical requirements, operational skill requirements, and key features such as OPAC, Acquisition, Cataloging, Circulation, Periodicals, and Reporting of the open-source integrated library management system Koha version 3.2.0 running on Ubuntu version 10.10. 2) Based on Koha's customization capabilities, Chapter 2 focuses on designing worksheets for data entry for book, basic research topic, and dissertation documents – the three main document types of the Institute of Geography – using the MARC21 format; formatting information display according to ISBD and document spine labels are key professional tasks that libraries undergo when building electronic libraries. Along with the program's built-in reporting system, after consulting MySQL commands, the author wrote several simple business reports such as: - Listing a catalog of documents including title, author, publisher, and registration; - List of documents by CallNumber; - List of documents by individual registration, etc. 3) After evaluating the physical infrastructure, financial capabilities, information resources, information needs, and the need to manage the printed document archive of the Documentation Department of the Institute of Geography, combined with research on the applicability of Koha to various types of libraries, the thesis has made professional recommendations and proposed the use of Koha to implement and build an electronic library for the Documentation Department of the Institute of Geography. The quantitative results obtained are an integrated database: Books: 243 records; Textbooks: 15 records; Dissertations: 18 records; and Basic Research Projects: 236 records published in OPAC on the Internet. 12.
