Summary of thesis results: This research investigates employers' requirements for basic skills for university graduates. The results show that in recent years, employers in particular and the labor market in general have gradually changed their assessment and recruitment methods to meet the increasingly diverse career needs of society. Each employer may use many different criteria or rely on only one criterion for recruiting and evaluating employees, but from the perspective of the labor market, there are three constant factors that employees need to possess: professional ability, self-training ability, and soft skills. From an employer's perspective, university graduates, despite possessing a relatively good foundation of basic knowledge, still have some weaknesses that prevent them from meeting requirements, such as limited foreign language and computer skills, poor stress tolerance and professionalism, and a significant lack of soft skills or practical knowledge. Most employees, upon being hired, require retraining before they can adapt to their jobs. Understanding the basic skills that university graduates must possess is crucial, providing a foundation for students to better orient themselves in acquiring the skills needed. Accordingly, three basic skill groups are identified: professional skills, soft skills, and management skills. Essentially, students are equipped with professional skills such as foreign language proficiency, computer skills, and the use of relevant software from their time in university. However, for the latter two skill groups—soft skills and management skills—students primarily need to develop them through self-training and knowledge accumulation. These also present significant challenges and obstacles for students in their job search after graduation. Depending on the specific job position and type of company, employers may have different requirements for certain skills to meet job demands. 11. Practical Application: The study has identified the basic skills that university graduates need to possess according to employer requirements, based on employers' assessments of students' practical skills. This contributes to providing appropriate recommendations and policies to equip graduates to meet employer demands and achieve the goal of training students to meet the practical needs of society. 12. Future Research Directions: None. 13. Summary of the findings of the thesis: This study is to find out the requirements of employers on basic skills for graduated students. The result shows that, in recent years, employers in particular and labor market in general are both changing the form of evaluation and recruitment to meet demand for professional skills increasingly in practice. Each employer will give many requirements or only one requirement to select or value. But in the view of labor market, there are 3 basic requirements: professional knowledge, self-training and soft skills. In terms of employers' evaluation, graduated students lack necessary skills committed by the work although they have been trained in basic knowledge. Their English, computer skills, capacity to work under pressure and professionalism are all poor. Many still have deprived soft skills and social knowledge. After joining, most newly recruited officers need to be retrained. It's important for university graduates to understand the requirements of the employers for basic skills. This is a foundation to help them know about equipping with skills needed in workplaces, including professional knowledge, soft skills and management skills. Basically, they have been trained in English, computing or using work-related softwares when they are still at school. However, they have to self-improve soft skills and management skills through self-training or knowledge accumulation process. This is a great obstacle for graduated students in finding the job. Depending on each position and type of company, employers will have different requirements for some specific skills to adapt to work. 11. Applicability in pactice Research has shown that basic skills that graduated students should have to meet given requirements on the basis of employer's assessment of necessary skills. Thereby, it contributes to make reasonable recommendations and policies to equip students after graduation so that they can meet the requirements of the employers, towards the goal of education and training for real needs of society. 12.
