Identify and classify the systems of concise and detailed texts at the National Library, the Library of the Institute of Han Nom Studies, and the Institute of Social Sciences Information. Describe the evolution of these systems.
This study examines the phenomenon of "abbreviation"—a way of receiving classical Chinese Confucianism in Vietnam, and also a self-interpretation of Confucianism by Vietnamese Confucian scholars—in the case of Bui Huy Bich's *Essentials of the Principles of Confucianism*. It explores the forms of "abbreviation" in *Essentials of the Principles of Confucianism*, and the parts of *Complete Works of Confucianism* that are retained and omitted within *Essentials of the Principles of Confucianism*.
12. Practical applicability: The thesis contributes to the study of academic exchange, the exchange and reception of Confucian books and classics in the feudal period between Vietnam and China. Continuing previous studies, the thesis also contributes to the study of the personal perspective of the famous Confucian Bui Huy Bich on the case of Tinh ly dai toan in particular and on the "dai toan" book system in general.
