ButThe aim of this thesis is to identify elements of folklore in the collection.Buddhist folk talesThis is based on the work of Thich Minh Chieu, which reveals the reciprocal relationship between folk literature and Buddhist literature.

- In this thesis, we are interested in folk elements inBuddhist folk talesby comparing the plot, characters, and folk motifs inBuddhist folk talesThich Minh Chieu.

- In achieving the above objectives, the thesis also makes certain contributions, namely that it both inherits the observations and assessments of previous researchers and selects and explores to clarify the folk elements inBuddhist folk talesby Thich Minh Chieu.

- The results of this thesis contribute, to some extent, to suggesting directions for research on religious folklore in the field of Vietnamese folklore studies.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

- The objective of the thesis to find out the folk elements in “Buddhist Tales” which was collected by Thich Minh Chieu and to study the relationship between folklore and Buddhist literature.

- In the thesis, we are interested in the folk elements in “Buddhist tales” by comparing plot, character, motif folk tales between folklore and “Buddhist tales”.

- Achieving the above objectives, the thesis has certain contributions, which both have inherited the previous researchers' statements and assess and searched, chose and discovered in order to clear the folk elements in “Buddhist tales”.

- The results of the thesis contribute the suggestions for the research directions folklore religion in Vietnam Folklore researchers.
