Practical applicability: Chu Hy's Gia Le book has had a great influence on the family ritual system since its inception. Introducing and providing a Vietnamese translation of the book helps to provide a necessary reference for the study of family rituals in general and Vietnamese family rituals in particular.
Further research directions: Family rituals in Vietnam and countries influenced by Chinese Confucianism.
