7. Thesis Title: A Study of Vietnam in the Field of Culture, Literature, and Arts from the Perspective of Contemporary Chinese Scholars (Research based on documents from Guangxi and Yunnan)

8. Specialization: Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese StudiesCode: 8310630

9. Scientific supervisor: Dr. Tran Thi Thu, Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

10. Summary of the thesis results: By synthesizing the results of academic works (mainly published in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces), the thesis has identified several characteristics and research trends on Vietnamese culture, literature, and art in recent years. Using an interdisciplinary research method, the thesis analyzed the number of published works in the two provinces as well as data related to research fields to identify research premises on Vietnam. The analysis shows that Chinese and Vietnamese cultures share the characteristics of "common origin, different influences" and "harmony yet difference." From this characteristic, researchers approaching Vietnamese culture, literature, and art affirm that these fields take their roots in internal culture and develop and create through the absorption of external cultures. At the same time, the study also found that Chinese scholars believe that the development of Vietnamese culture, literature, and art follows not only a linear model "from the center to the periphery," but also a "layered" development (development in strata), simultaneously absorbing the essence of surrounding cultures while preserving its own identity.

11. Practical applications: This thesis can serve as a reference for researchers interested in Vietnam and open up avenues for academic exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and China. This research is also valuable for comparative cultural studies, as well as for teaching and promoting Vietnam internationally.

12. Future research directions: In the future, research could focus on expanding the survey to other regions of China, comparing it with the perspectives of Western scholars, or delving into specific areas such as literature, folk art, etc.

8. Major:Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese StudiesCode: 8310630

9. Supervisors: Dr. Tran Thi Thu, Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese and Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi 10. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Through a synthesis of academic works (mainly published in Guangxi and Yunnan), this thesis identifies key characteristics and emerging trends in recent research on Vietnamese culture, literature, and art. Employing an interdisciplinary approach, it analyzes both the number of works produced in these provinces and the data related to their research fields in order to outline the scientific premises regarding Vietnam. The analysis reveals that Sino-Vietnamese culture embodies the features of “common origin, divergent flows” and “harmony in diversity.” Building on these characteristics, scholars approaching Vietnamese culture, literature, and art emphasize that these fields are rooted in intrinsic cultural foundations while developing and innovating through the assimilation of external influences. Furthermore, the study observes that Chinese scholars contend that the development of Vietnamese culture, literature, and art does not follow a simple linear model “from the center to the periphery,” but rather a “layered development” model, which simultaneously absorbs surrounding cultural essences while preserving its distinct identity.

11. Practical applicability: The thesis can serve as a significant reference for scholars with an interest in Vietnam, while also opening up potential directions for academic exchange and scholarly cooperation between Vietnam and China. - Furthermore, this study provides valuable insights for comparative cultural research and may be utilized in the teaching and promotion of Vietnamese culture on the international stage.

12. Further research directions: Subsequent research may expand its scope to other regions of China, engage in comparative analysis with Western scholarly perspectives, or pursue more specialized inquiries into particular domains such as literature, folk art, and related cultural expressions.
