10. Summary of thesis results:

The thesis delves into the study of poetic language during the period of resistance against France (1946-1954) from the semantic and pragmatic perspectives.

Researching the poetic language of the period of resistance against the French on the semantic and pragmatic levels, the thesis relied on some of Jakobson's theories on poetics, discourse theory and discourse analysis... In addition, theories on speech acts, on modality or some theories of literature related to the application of poetic language in the resistance poetry are also important theoretical bases that the thesis relies on to be able to identify, analyze, describe and accurately evaluate the nature, characteristics and features of the beauty of poetic language of the period of resistance against the French.

On the semantic level, the thesis highlights the language of anti-French poetry in the following aspects: the poetic quality of the language of poetry during the anti-French period; emotions in anti-French poetry and modal measures in anti-French poetry.

On the pragmatic level, the thesis has deeply studied poetic language in connection with context (literary context, interpersonal communication, extra-linguistic context), thereby having a deeper, more comprehensive view of the beauty of poetic language as well as a more accurate understanding. Not only that, the anti-French poets also used very effectively measures to increase the effectiveness of words as well as the impact function of poetic language. That shows us the purpose of literary creation during this period in general and poetry in particular.

On each aspect of the problem, the thesis deeply analyzes and describes poetic language to have a general and profound view of the beauty of anti-French poetic language.

11. Practical application:

The thesis has made an important contribution to the application of semantics and pragmatics in language research. At the same time, the thesis contributes to clarifying some issues of poetic language from the semantic perspective (poetic quality, emotions in poetry, ways of expressing situations, issues of modality in poetry) and poetic language from the pragmatic perspective (context in poetry, measures to increase the effectiveness of words and the impact function of poetry). From there, the thesis has a precise and scientific explanation of the semantic and pragmatic issues of poetic language during the anti-French period, contributing to clarifying the value of poetry during this period.

In addition, the thesis is also a useful reference and can be applied to teaching the anti-French resistance poetry for middle and high school students as well as a reference for literature students of universities, colleges and vocational schools nationwide.

12. Further research directions:

Based on the research results of the thesis, it is possible to expand the scope and conduct more in-depth research on poetic language during the period of resistance against the French (1946-1954) on many aspects of semantics and pragmatics; from there, propose ways to comprehensively research poetic language and ways to teach poetry in schools.

10. Summary results of the thesis:

The thesis does focus on researching the poetic languages in the resistance against the French period (1946-1954) on the aspect of semantics and pragmatics

Doing research on the poetic languages in the resistance against the French period on the aspect of semantics and pragmatics, the thesis bases on some Jakobson's arguments about prosody, discourse theory and discourse analysis…….

Besides, theories about language actions, state or a few theories of literature regarding how to manipulate languages in poetry resistance are also important theoretical basis that the thesis relies on to identify, analyze, describe and assess the exact nature and typical characteristics of poetic beauty in the resistance against the French period.

In terms of semantics, the thesis highlights the anti-French language poetry in these aspects: the poetry of poetic languages in anti-French period, anti-French feelings and modal measures in the poetry to resist the French.

On the pragmatic level, the thesis makes a deep discovery on poetic languages associated with the context ( context, communicative characters, outside language context). Therefore, it has deeper and more comprehensive insight of the beauty of poetic languages and an effective way to understand them correctly. Moreover, the anti-French poets use measures to increase the efficiency in words as well as interactive functions of poetic languages successfully. This tells us the purpose of writing literature in this period in general and poetry in particular.

On every aspect, the theory concentrates on analyzing and describing poetic languages so that it creates a deep and comprehensive overview of the beauty of poetic languages in the anti-French period.

11. Applicability in reality:

The thesis makes a crucial contribution in the application of semantics and pragmatics in language studies. At the same time, it contributes to clarify some poetic language issues from semantics aspects (poetry, emotions in poetry, how to express love, modal issues in poetry) to pragmatics level (context in poetry, measures to increase the efficiency in words and the interactive functions of poetry). As a result, the thesis gives a satisfactory and scientific explanation of semantics and pragmatics of languages in anti-French poetry and contributes to elucidate the value of poetry during this period.

Furthermore, the thesis is a useful reference and can be applied to the teaching of poetry in the anti-French period for lower secondary students and upper secondary students as well as references to the philology students in universities and colleges and vocational training centers on a national scale.

12. Suggested follow-up researches

It is suggested that the scope of the research be extended on the poetic languages in anti-French period on many aspects of semantic and pragmatic issues. All things considered, ways of studying the languages of poetry in a comprehensive manner and methods of teaching poetry in schools are proposed.
