10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis delves into the study of poetic language during the resistance war against the French (1946-1954) from both semantic and pragmatic perspectives.

In studying the language of poetry during the resistance against the French from a semantic and pragmatic perspective, this thesis relies on several theories by Jakobson regarding poetics, discourse theory, and discourse analysis. Furthermore, theories on speech acts, modality, and other literary theories related to the use of poetic language in resistance poetry also form an important theoretical basis for the thesis to accurately identify, analyze, describe, and evaluate the nature, characteristics, and features of the linguistic beauty of poetry during the resistance against the French.

From a semantic perspective, the thesis highlighted the language of anti-French poetry in the following aspects: the poetic quality of the language in anti-French poetry; the emotions in anti-French poetry; and the modal devices used in anti-French poetry.

From a pragmatic perspective, this thesis delves into the context of poetic language (textual context, communicative context, extra-linguistic context), thereby gaining a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the beauty of poetic language and a more accurate interpretation. Furthermore, the poets who resisted the French effectively employed techniques to enhance the impact and function of poetic language. This reveals the purpose of literary creation in general, and poetry in particular, during this period.

From every aspect of the issue, the thesis delves into analyzing and describing poetic language in order to gain a comprehensive and profound understanding of the linguistic beauty of anti-French resistance poetry.

11. Practical applications:

This thesis makes a significant contribution to the application of semantics and pragmatics in linguistic research. Simultaneously, it clarifies several issues concerning poetic language from a semantic perspective (poetic quality, emotions in poetry, ways of expressing situations, and modality in poetry) and from a pragmatic perspective (context in poetry, methods of enhancing the effectiveness of words, and the function of poetry). Therefore, the thesis provides a sound and scientific explanation of the semantics and pragmatics of poetic language during the anti-French resistance period, contributing to a clearer understanding of the value of poetry from this era.

Furthermore, this thesis is a useful reference and can be applied to teaching the section on resistance poetry against the French to middle and high school students, as well as a reference for literature students at universities, colleges, and vocational schools nationwide.

12. Future research directions:

Based on the research findings of this thesis, it is possible to broaden the scope and conduct deeper research on the language of poetry during the resistance war against the French (1946-1954) from various aspects of semantics and pragmatics; thereby, proposing comprehensive methods for studying poetic language and ways to teach poetry in schools.

10. Summary results of the thesis:

The thesis does focus on researching the poetic languages in the resistance against the French period (1946-1954) on the aspect of semantics and pragmatics

Doing research on the poetic languages in the resistance against the French period on the aspect of semantics and pragmatics, the thesis bases on some Jakobson's arguments about prosody, discourse theory and discourse analysis…….

Besides, theories about language actions, state or a few theories of literature concerning how to manipulate languages in poetry resistance are also important theoretical basis that the thesis relies on to identify, analyze, describe and assess the exact nature and typical characteristics of poetic beauty in the resistance against the French period.

In terms of semantics, the thesis highlights the anti-French language poetry in these aspects: the poetry of poetic languages in anti-French period, anti-French feelings and modal measures in the poetry to resist the French.

On the pragmatic level, the thesis makes a deep discovery on poetic languages associated with the context ( context, communicative characters, outside language context). Therefore, it has deeper and more comprehensive insight of the beauty of poetic languages and an effective way to understand them correctly. Moreover, the anti-French poets use measures to increase the efficiency in words as well as interactive functions of poetic languages successfully. This tells us the purpose of writing literature in this period in general and poetry in particular.

On every aspect, the theory concentrates on analyzing and describing poetic languages so that it creates a deep and comprehensive overview of the beauty of poetic languages in the anti-French period.

11. Applicability in reality:

The thesis makes a crucial contribution in the application of semantics and pragmatics in language studies. At the same time, it contributes to clarify some poetic language issues from semantics aspects (poetry, emotions in poetry, how to express love, modal issues in poetry) to pragmatics level (context in poetry, measures to increase the efficiency in words and the interactive functions of poetry). As a result, the thesis gives a satisfactory and scientific explanation of semantics and pragmatics of languages in anti-French poetry and contributes to elucidate the value of poetry during this period.

Furthermore, the thesis is a useful reference and can be applied to the teaching of poetry in the anti-French period for lower secondary students and upper secondary students as well as references to the philology students in universities and colleges and vocational training centers on a national scale.

12. Suggested follow-up researches

It is suggested that the scope of the research be extended on the poetic languages in anti-French period on many aspects of semantic and pragmatic issues. All things considered, ways of studying the languages of poetry in a comprehensive manner and methods of teaching poetry in schools are proposed.
