This thesis focuses on researching and presenting the following basic results:
Chapter 1 – an overview of the topic "Hanoi Journalism on the Inadequacies in Building New Rural Areas in the Capital Today," focuses on addressing some general theories about agriculture, farmers, rural areas, and issues related to building new rural areas in the capital today. Specifically, the research clarifies the concepts of "agriculture, farmers, rural areas, and building new rural areas." It outlines the policies of the Party, the State, and Hanoi City regarding the construction of new rural areas, as well as experiences in building new rural areas in other countries around the world. It also examines the characteristics, features, nature, and strengths of the press.
Chapter two of the thesis delves into surveying, analyzing, and evaluating the shortcomings of the current New Rural Development Program in Hanoi, as reported by HanoiMoi newspaper and Hanoi Radio and Television. Through understanding the obstacles at the grassroots level, combined with synthesizing information gathered from in-depth interviews with experts, managers, and citizens, the author provides specific and objective assessments, including the depth and diversity of information, and critiques of the shortcomings of the New Rural Development Program in Hanoi.
In this chapter, the author also highlights the successes of the New Rural Development Program, which has opened up a new face for people in Hanoi's rural areas. HanoiMoi newspaper made maximum use of articles reflecting on the achievements of the New Rural Development Program in various districts. Hanoi Radio and Television, through numerous news reports, utilized visual language, commentary, and a rich variety of interview techniques. These elements have greatly contributed to the value of the news reports on the New Rural Development Program.
Through a survey of news reports and features in Hanoi's press regarding the shortcomings in the current rural development program in the capital, the thesis highlights several existing problems and limitations, such as land consolidation, the pursuit of achievements in the rural development program by many localities, outstanding debts in basic construction, and obstacles in the practical application of the city's support policies at the grassroots level. Based on this, the thesis boldly proposes several solutions to improve the quality of news reports and features on these shortcomings in rural development in the capital. These solutions include those related to human resources, equipment, technical infrastructure, innovation in content and presentation, mechanisms and policies, and increasing the amount of information and broadcasting on Hanoi's press system.
The greatest achievement for the thesis author – a reporter covering agriculture, farmers, and rural areas for a local newspaper – is that these studies are truly meaningful, providing a foundation and premise for realizing aspirations to further improve the quality of articles in this field, both in terms of content and presentation.
11. Practical applications:
With this topic, the thesis has made significant contributions to supplementing and developing the theoretical system regarding journalistic genres disseminated through the Hanoi press system, especially news, reports, and feature stories. In some aspects, the topic will make pioneering contributions to the statistical analysis, evaluation, commentary, and analysis from both content and form perspectives. This will contribute to laying the foundation for further research on the dissemination of information about shortcomings in the construction of new rural areas in Hanoi as presented in the media.
The research findings, stemming from the theoretical and practical aspects of this thesis, will impact central and local press agencies, print media and television stations, regional stations, and especially journalists in re-evaluating the impact and effectiveness of these works. From this, the immense role of propaganda will be identified, and shortcomings in the construction of new rural areas nationwide in general and in Hanoi in particular will be recognized, providing direction for propaganda work. The thesis also hopes to contribute to improving journalistic skills for those working in agriculture, farmers, rural areas, and especially in promoting the new rural areas, providing additional information for researchers, management agencies, and anyone interested in this issue.

If conditions permit, this thesis could open up many avenues for further research in the field of disseminating information about shortcomings in the new rural development program: for example, regarding visual language, the details of content in articles and reports presented in various forms of media... Diversifying the forms of expression in print media as well as radio and television.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The thesis focuses on research and some basic findings are as follows:
In Chapter 1 - Overview of the subject "Hanoi newspapers and magazines on the issue of inadequacies in building new rural areas in the Capital at present", the author concentrates on dealing with some general theories of agriculture, farmers, rural areas and the issues of building new Vietnamese rural areas in the Capital at present. The research focus is on clearing up the concepts of "agriculture, farmers, rural areas and the issues of building new Vietnamese rural areas"; referring to the policies of the Party, State and Hanoi City on building new Vietnamese rural areas, as well as the experiences in building new rural areas in countries all over the world; from the typical features, as well as nature and strengths of newspapers and magazines.In Chapter 2, the thesis deeply surveys, analyzes and assesses the inadequacies in the program of building new rural areas in the Capital at present in the Hanoimoi Newspaper and Hanoi Radio-Television Broadcasting Station. By finding out about the enquiries at groundswell level, in combination with summing up with the issues accumulated in the in-depth interviews with experts, managers, people, the author makes specific and objective judgments, assessments, such as the depth, diversity of information, and criticisms the inadequacies in the program of building new rural areas in the Capital.
In this chapter, the author draws out the successes of the program of building new rural areas that have been made to open up a new look for the people in the rural areas of Hanoi. The Hanoimoi Newspaper has made full use of the reportages about the achievements made in building new rural areas in the districts. Hanoi Radio-Television Broadcasting Station, through the many reportages, has displayed its ability to use language, images, commentaries, in various ways to exploit at interviews. It is all these that have created the great values of the reportages about the program of building new rural areas.
Through surveying the articles, reportages in Hanoi newspapers and magazines about the inadequacies in the program of building new rural areas in the Capital at present, numerous limitations, limitations have been revealed by the thesis: land consolidation, many localities acquire achievement disease in the program of building new rural areas, outstanding debts in fundamental construction, enquiries in the city support policy when put into practice at grounds level. From there, the thesis ventures to propose some solutions to improve the quality of the articles and reportages about the inadequacies in the program of building new rural areas in the Capital, such as solutions to human, means, material and technical basis, innovation of presentation form and content, mechanism, policy, increase in volume of information and broadcasting in the newspapers and magazines of Hanoi.
The greatest finding the author – a reporter covering the segment of agriculture, farmers, rural areas in local newspapers – has achieved is that these are really significant studies which serve as grounds and premises for realizing the nurtured aspirations to further improve the writing quality in this field, innovating both information form and content.
11. Practical applicability:
With this subject, the thesis is of great importance in complementing and developing the theoretical system of types of newspaper or magazine for communication in the system of newspapers and magazines of the Capital, especially news, articles, reportages. From certain aspects, the subject will make an initial contribution to totaling up, assessing, commenting, analyzing in terms of presentation form and content. This shall help lay foundation for the subsequent further studies of the issue of addressing the inadequacies in building new rural areas in the Capital to be covered on the media.
The findings of the studies based on the theory and practice of the thesis will exert influence on the Central and local press agencies, television stations, and particularly, reporters, journalists when viewing, assess the effects and impacts of such works, from there to identify the major role in propagation activities, the inadequacies in building new rural areas throughout the country in general and in the Capital in particular, to have orientation propagation activities… The thesis is applied to contribute to improving journalistic skills for those who are responsible for the segment of agriculture, farmers, rural areas, and particularly new rural area propagation, an additional source of information for researchers, management bodies, and those who are interested in this issue.
12. Further research directions:
If conditions permit, from this thesis, there will be numerous directions open for further studies of propagating the inadequacies in building new rural areas, for example, in the aspects of language, images, detailed contents in the articles as well as reportages presented in different types of newspapers and magazines… diversification of the forms of presentation in the systems of printed newspapers as well as radio and television broadcasting.
