The thesis consists of three chapters: Chapter 1: Le Luu's novels in the flow of contemporary novels; Chapter 2: Types of characters in Le Luu's novels. The thesis presents four main types of characters: Characters falling into tragedy due to circumstances; Personal tragedy in each character; Characters falling into tragedy due to subjective perception and concept; Characters with the tragedy of a pragmatic, selfish, and degenerate lifestyle; Chapter 3: The narrator in Le Luu's novels. The thesis goes on to present: An overview of the narrator in the narrative genre; Narrative point of view and narrative method; Narrative tone in Le Luu's novels.
The thesis has provided a systematic view of the types of characters and narrators in Le Luu's novels through research and understanding of the world of characters and narrators, as well as the art of character building, storytelling methods, and the author's narrative tone.
