- The thesis first of all presents a new understanding of myth: Myth is a type of thinking that has strongly penetrated literature, changing the sense of reality as well as the poetic system of modern literature.

-The thesis points out the manifestations of the method of mythologizing in Nguyen Huy Thiep's short stories in two aspects: plot and character: parody of legends, parody of religion, rebirth of fairy tales, and demystification of history. Through that, we affirm Nguyen Huy Thiep's awareness of learning and inheriting traditional cultural values ​​as well as his new and bold innovations in the process of trying to innovate the genre.

-The thesis clarifies the legendary space-time forms in Nguyen Huy Thiep's short stories as well as the organization, arrangement, and combination of space-time forms to create a multidimensional artistic world.
