There are many groups of causes of occupational stress: internal causes and external causes. Internal causes include health, personality, gender... external causes can include the working environment, family factors, social factors (economic...).
There may be a relationship between occupational stress and various factors such as gender, job position, nature of work, age.
On the practical research level, the thesis shows that:
Occupational stress is present and frequent every day, unavoidable. In fact, research shows that nearly 70% of workers have occupational stress at different levels, with mild and moderate levels accounting for the largest proportion (mild level 33.08%, moderate level: 39.09%).
Occupational stress manifests itself in terms of cognition, behavior, and emotion: occupational stress of workers manifests itself through emotions, both behavior and cognition. Occupational stress has a great impact on the lives of workers, such as manifestations of forgetfulness, confusion, irritability, etc.
The most chosen coping method is emotional-focused coping: such as seeking support from relatives and friends, or inviting friends to hang out, gather to talk, or seek support from social networks, etc. Problem-focused coping methods such as “finding the cause to solve it”, or “frankly discussing”… are less chosen.
The most influential cause of occupational stress is the nature of the work (intensity of work, working hours, etc.). There is not much correlation between occupational stress and other factors such as gender, work position, nature of work, age.
