10. Summary of the thesis results:
- This is one of the scientific studies on the issue of space in general and rural space in Vietnam in particular. The thesis explores several short stories by authors Son Nam, Nguyen Huy Thiep, and Nguyen Ngoc Tu, as well as film adaptations by directors Nguyen Vo Nghiem Minh, Dang Nhat Minh, and Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, to see the close relationship between literature and film, their interconnectedness and mutual influence. Working together, both literature and film help the work enhance its reach and connect with a wider audience.
- This thesis focuses on exploring the way space is represented in works of both literature and film, specifically the boundaries – typological indicators of space – and the radically changing system of spatial relationships. The three works both tend to deepen the gap between rural space and the outside world, and tend to blur all boundaries, drawing closer to the human soul and inviting a return to the pure countryside.
- Between literary and cinematic works, the rural setting can be considered a common denominator. Through exploring this space, we see that its boundaries, though impenetrable, are always open, welcoming a return to the subconscious and, most importantly, a return to cleanse and purify the soul. This is the greatest success of literature and cinema in successfully creating the rural setting in their works.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
- This is one of the sciences study of the problem of space and space in general in rural Vietnam in particular. Essays explore some of the short story author Son Nam, Nguyen Huy Thiep, Nguyen Ngoc Tu and cinema adaptations of the director Nguyen Vo Nghiem Minh, Dang Nhat Minh and Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, to see the close relationship between literature and cinema, as well as the correlation between their interaction. Paired together, both literary and cinematic works have helped improve the diffusion and come with a large number of recipients.
- Thesis attention on how to exploit spatial expression in the works of the two types of literature and film, which are the boundary the type of system space and spatial relationships rather changed radically. Three work has concentrated to deepen the gap between the rural space with the space outside the world, has concentrated to erase all distances, getting closer to the heart of man, call back to the pure countryside.
- Between the literary and cinematographic works here can be considered rural space is the common denominator. Through learning about space, see the boundaries of space but can not get penetration but always open to welcome the return of the subconscious, and most importantly everyone is looking for to wash, "purify" the mind soul.
