10. Summary of the thesis results:
The author has clearly outlined and delved deeper into the fundamental concepts related to the tourism industry, with a particular focus on tourism in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and the key factors attracting domestic tourists to this area. Through the analysis and definition of the domestic tourism market, we have explored important factors such as tourism resources, services and tourism products, pricing, amenities and convenience of the destination, promotional and marketing efforts, as well as the connectivity and comprehensiveness of the tourism program.
Next, the study analyzes the factors attracting domestic tourists to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in Quang Tri. The survey design, using questionnaires, allowed the author to collect and analyze opinions from domestic tourists and managers, aiming to assess the effectiveness of these factors in practice. The author also conducted a SWOT analysis, a crucial step in identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the current context of tourism development. This analysis not only clarifies factors that may promote or hinder tourism development in the DMZ but also supports the identification of effective intervention strategies.
Finally, nine solutions are proposed to enhance the attractiveness of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in Quang Tri province to domestic tourists. These solutions range from improving infrastructure and service quality to innovating in marketing and promotion. Policy implications are also presented to ensure that the solutions can be implemented effectively, including encouraging cooperation between the government, businesses, and local communities. Furthermore, this thesis contributes to expanding and enriching the theoretical framework for tourism development in the DMZ region in particular and tourist destinations in general, and serves as a valuable reference for future tourism development in Quang Tri province.
