With the goal of developing tourism into a key economic sector of the locality, in recent years Lang Son province has paid great attention to investing in the focused development of the tourism sector, especially prioritizing the development of community tourism. In Bac Son, the participation of the local community in tourism activities not only improves the income and living standards of the local people, ensuring their livelihoods, but also promotes local culture and enhances the utilization of natural resources. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism industry closed down, forcing people to change jobs to support their families economically. The reopening of the tourism industry has caused a shortage of manpower in the tourism sector at Bac Son district, Lang Son province.
Recognizing the importance of community participation in tourism activities in Bac Son district, Lang Son province, this thesis investigates the extent to which factors promote and hinder community participation. Based on this, it proposes solutions to enhance participation and mitigate the negative impacts of these factors on local community involvement.
This study analyzes the current situation and barriers to local community participation in tourism activities through in-depth interviews, data processing, and the construction of a Pretty scale questionnaire to measure the level of community participation in tourism promotion activities. Based on this, it proposes solutions to enhance local community participation in tourism activities in Bac Son district, Lang Son province.
